She is currently the Prevention Services Director at NATIVE Project as well as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She is a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Wisconsin. She graduated from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho with a BS in Dietetics in May, 2004. She did her Dietetic Internship through Idaho State University and completed that in May of 2005 and became a registered dietitian in August, 2005. She became a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) in 2009 and is currently a CDE. She has been working at NATIVE Project since September of 2005 and works in the clinic setting as well as with the Wellness Program at Havermale. This is her second career. Her first career was in law and she is still an active member of the State Bar of Washington. She graduated with her B.A. 1979 and her law degree in 1982 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After practicing law for nearly 20 years she changed careers into the health field. During her 20 years of legal practice she worked for many Tribes including the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, the Spokane Tribe and the Bad River Band of Chippewa Indians. Her legal work was focused on fishing and hunting rights and water law.
