What is Medicare? Who is eligible?
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides programs to help with the cost of health care, but it doesn’t cover all medical expenses or the cost of most long-term care. You have choices for how you get Medicare coverage. Medicare is a federal health insurance program for:
- People age 65 or older
- People younger than age 65 with certain disabilities
Join the NATIVE Project Care Coordination Team and WA Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) to learn about your Medicare questions and options. They will be providing a presentation on Medicare. Learn about:
- Medicare health care coverage needs and plans
- General eligibility for health care coverage programs
- Evaluate and compare Medicare plans and programs
- Provide resources on enrollment help with Medicare
